[Finished] Written in the stars (BTS)
  • Alina
  • The boys and I had been on the boat for a good two hours. It had gotten dark and even a little chilly. The stars looked absolutely beautiful tonight. I sat at the end of the boat, staring at them. I could not help but think about how life had changed so drastically – between meeting my soulmates, almost dying and having to move so suddenly.
  • I shivered until I felt someone drape a blanket around me. ‘You looked cold,’ Yoongi said as he kissed the top of my head. I could feel warmth radiate off of him.
  • ‘Thank you for the blanket Yoongs,’ I said as I offered him a warm smile. He looked at me, almost as if he was studying me. He reached for my face and put a strand of hair behind my ear.
  • ‘Can I sit with you?’ he asked and I nodded. I watched him as he sat down comfortably, next to me. ‘What’s going through your head princess?’ he asked.
  • ‘A lot of things,’ I admitted as he sighed. ‘Just until what? Two days ago, my life was boring, mundane. I lived in a cold mansion, alone. Now, I’ve the most chaotic two days of my life,’ I said with a chuckle, but he barely smiled.
  • ‘This is not how we wanted to meet you,’ he said. I eyed him curiously, unsure of what he was talking about. ‘When we came from town and reunited with Jimin and Jungkook, for a moment we were worried about Taehyung. Then they told us what happened and that they found you,’ he explained.
  • ‘That must have been a surprise huh?’ I asked and he nodded. He stayed silent for a while until he ran his hand through his hair.
  • ‘Yeah and we got so excited to come and meet you but then we got a bigger surprise when we did not find you,’ he explained.
  • ‘We tried to put up a fight, but I could not risk it. I was so scared Yoongi when I saw them point the gun to his head,’ I said as I shivered more. Tears spilled down my cheek, almost as if this was the time I was actually letting my emotions out.
  • ‘Shh it’s okay love,’ Yoongi said as he scooped me over to be on his lap. He wiped my tears away and then hugged me tightly against his chest. I realized how small I actually was in his arms, even if he was one of the smaller members.
  • ‘Sorry for being a cry baby,’ I said but he chuckled and shook his head.
  • ‘You can cry as much as you want to. Crying is not a sign of being weak Alina. It’s a sign of pent up emotions that need to be released and as much as I hate seeing you cry because it hurts my very heart, I prefer if you cry than keep everything bottled in,’ he said.
  • I sighed as I allowed myself to rest against his chest. I listened to his heartbeat which sounded like a beautiful melody. ‘How did I get so lucky Yoongi?’ I asked, but he simply chuckled.
  • ‘Are you kidding me?’ he whispered. ‘We don’t know you that much, but from what we saw and you told us, you’re amazing Alina. You’re strong, kind and brave, not to mention beautiful,’ he said. ‘You know what I think?’ he asked.
  • I hummed in response as he wrapped his arms around me more tightly. He tightened the blanket around me and made sure I was securely in his arm.
  • ‘I think everything happens for a reason in life. The good and the bad, the amazing and the scary – they all happen because they were meant to happen. The bad things are there to strengthen us and test us and the good things are there to reward us,’ he said.
  • ‘That’s beautiful Yoongi,’ I said as I snuggled closer. ‘I didn’t think you were one for this kind of stuff,’ I commented.
  • ‘What? Speaking poetically and eloquently?’ he asked to which I nodded. ‘I love words, although usually I prefer to write them down. The boys, they say words are my magic power but who am I to say that when I am talking to an author who has so many fans?’ he asked with a chuckle.
  • ‘Anyone can be an author Yoongi. It’s just easier for some of us. We have so many stories to say and tell that we just write them as easily as breathing air but anyone can write their own stories because they own those stories. They’re the creators and no one can tell their stories better than they can,’ I said.
  • ‘True,’ he said as he kissed my head again. ‘So, what’s the plan once we arrive on the island?’ he asked.
  • ‘We’re meeting with an old friend of mine Junsu. He’ll take us to my safe house. The only people who know about it are Junsu and Solania,’ I explained.
  • ‘Can I ask why you have a safe house? It seems as if you had it before this whole thing happened,’ he asked and I sighed.
  • Flashbacks of those horrible memories came back to my mind. It had been ten years but the memories terrified me as much as they did back then. I felt my throat constrict and my heart seemed to start to race.
  • ‘Hey, what’s wrong?’ Yoongi asked as he pulled slightly away to look at my trembling form. He held me in his hands as he looked at me worriedly. ‘Alina, did I say something to upset you love?’ he asked. I gulped. I could not tell him. I was not ready too. ‘Please, forgive me if I have done so,’ he said.
  • ‘No, no, Yoongi there is nothing to forgive. It’s just....’ I pause while he rubbed at my arms. ‘I’m not ready to talk about it to you,’ I said. He sighed as he nodded while he hugged me tightly.
  • ‘It’s okay princess. You don’t have to tell me. I just want you to be happy,’ he said.
  • ‘I’m the happiest when I am with you boys. I know you’re going to love me and protect me and keep me safe,’ I said.
  • ‘Damn right we will,’ he said. ‘You’re tired Alina. Why don’t you sleep a little?’ he asked.
  • ‘I think I might. Will you stay with me?’ I asked and he chuckled.
  • ‘Always Alina,’ he said as he snuggled me closer to keep me warm.
  • I woke up to someone shaking me. My eyes flew open as I looked at Yoongi and the others. ‘Sorry to wake you darling but we’re here. We’ve arrived,’ Namjoon said.
  • ‘No, no, it’s fine,’ I said as I sat up. I stretched and yawned. Jimin helped me to stand up as I reached the railing. I saw Junsu waiting there.
  • He had not changed at all. He still donned brightly coloured hair, this time a bright red that rivalled Ariel from the movie Little Mermaid. He was wearing tight leather pants and white shirt that was slightly too open.
  • ‘Hey Ali,’ he said as he waved and helped me off the boat. The others followed as they stood behind me. ‘Hello boys. I’m Junsu and I would love to sit and chat and introduce but we have to get a quick move on. The sun will be up in about an hour, hour and a half tops and if you don’t want to attract too much attention, now is the time to move,’ he said while I shook my head.
  • ‘So, stop talking and help us pack the boxes,’ I said to which he rolled his eyes.
  • ‘You little witch never change,’ he said, shaking his head while the others chuckled slightly. The nine of us together along with the boat driver quickly put the boxes in Junsu’s caravan and before we knew it we settled in. Junsu began driving towards the house while everyone settled down quietly.
  • ‘So, let me get this straight. You met your soulmates, got kidnapped by hunters, escaped and put their palace on fire,’ Junsu said.
  • ‘Pretty much yeah. They know where I lived back there and I could not chance it happening again. This time they would have not bothered to take us there, ‘ I explained.
  • ‘No that makes perfect sense. I’m glad you called me for help. It’s the least I can do after what you did for me,’ he said while I shrugged, not wanting to talk about my good deeds in front of the boys. ‘Anyways, I did as you asked me. I registered the house under that name you gave me. I also changed the sheets in the bedrooms, gave a quick clean through and stocked the fridge and cupboards,’ he said.
  • ‘Thanks. You’re amazing,’ I said as I leaned over to give him a peck on the cheek. From the backseat, I heard Taehyung growling a little while Jimin said soothing things.
  • ‘Hey don’t worry. I won’t steal your soulmate away,’ Junsu said. ‘For one, I am quite older than her and see her as my little sister,’ he began. ‘Secondly, I have a soulmate of my own, thank you very much,’ he said.
  • ‘How is she by the way? She’s expecting a pup, right?’ I asked to which he nodded happily.
  • ‘Two actually. We found out three days ago,’ he said. ‘Most likely one boy and one girl but you know these scans, you never know for sure,’ he said.
  • ‘Ahh I’m really excited for you Junsu,’ I said, genuinely feeling happy for him and his mate. He smiled as he nodded.
